Is there Lead In Your Slow Cooker?


Slow cookers can contain lead in the ceramic glaze, but this is becoming less common as manufacturers switch to lead-free ceramic glazes. Many slow cooker manufacturers have switched to lead-free glazes over the past few years, so you can likely find a lead-free slow cooker on the market.

I make no money from this post. When I was looking to replace my 1960's crockpot that probably had lead I found this one with no ceramic coating. It truly is non-stick. The more you use it the better the surface gets. It is my favorite small appliance, (next to my coffee maker. Because coffee is important. )

Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker. ( I don't recommend pressure cooking, however I understand this device can be used as a slow cooker as well.)
