Is Your Air Fryer Healthy?

Is Air-Frying As Healthy As You Think?

Probably not⁉️

The only healthy fact makers of Air-fryers keep throwing around is that it is a "better alternative to deep frying." In marketing when we can't find a good feature about a product we use the words "better alternative" and compare it to the thing that's worse. 😕 In this case that is deep frying.

"Better alternative" is the truth about the air fryer. But the consumer is fooled and takes that further to assume it's healthy.

No one said it's a healthy way to cook, it is just a healthier alternative to deep frying. 😳

It still has all the same dangers of fried foods. Because it is still a fried food.

It may increase your risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.

It exposes you to the dangers of Acrylamide and trans fats.

The oil used to fry in an air fryer still becomes rancid because it is heated so quickly to such high temperatures. This reaction creates a harmful chemical called Acrylamide, a known carcinogen.

Wikipedia says, "A carcinogen is any substance, radionuclide, or radiation that promotes carcinogenesis, the formation of cancer. "

Most Air-Fryers are also made from coatings and materials that are known to release hormone disruptive chemicals into your food when heated.

What healthy fats are best for frying?

Don't use seed oils to fry. Use healthy oils from fruit or animal fats to sauté in. Only small amounts of healthy oils are required to sauté or cook food.

✅These healthy fats are coconut oil, olive oil (for low temps), avocado oil, butter, ghee, lard (is extremely stable). They also taste better.

Seed oils to avoid for health are:

❌Canola oil

❌Soybean oil

❌Cotton seed oil

❌Corn oil

❌Sesame oil

❌Sunflower oil

❌Safflower oil

❌Grape seed oil

❌Rice bran oil

Avoid using those translucent yellow oils in plastic bottles on grocery store shelves. And avoid margarines in all forms even if they use olive oil.

❓We're you using an air fryer with the assumption you were eating healthy?
