Weight Loss Chicken Wings

Simple and tasty, these chicken wings are made with wholesome ingredients. There is no refined sugars, no pre-packaged mixes and no ketchup.




Ingredients:

1 large package chicken wings (24-30 wings)

1/2 cup tamari

1/2 cup rice vinegar

1/4 cup of lemon juice

2 heaping tablespoons of raw honey

3 cloves garlic, peeled and grated fine

1 teaspoon of curry powder

1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground pepper

1/2 teaspoon ground thyme

1 teaspoon oregano

1/4 cup of sesame seeds


Place all ingredients except for chicken wings and sesame seeds into a blender or mini-food processor and process until well blended. Put chicken wings into a marinating dish, pour blended ingredients over. Put on lid (or cover) and leave in the fridge overnight. Up to 24 hours is optimal, the longer they marinate the tastier they are. Stir occasionally to distribute the marinade well.


Place on a parchment lined baking sheet with space in between each wing and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Discard remaining marinade.


Bake at 390 for about an hour turning once half way through baking time. At 1 hour using a meet thermometer to ensure they are cooked through. Or try to peel the meet from the bone, if it releases clean, your wings are done.


Let cool slightly and enjoy. Serve them up with some homemade sweet potato fries.
